Abstract
Efficient visible/near-infrared (VIS/NIR) modulation is a key requirement for advanced dual-band electrochromic materials, but is often limited by sluggish ion/electron transport and insufficient cycling stability. In this presentation, we summarize our recent efforts in structurally engineered dual-band electrochromic materials, including layered oxides, open-framework compounds, covalent organic frameworks, and layered double hydroxides. Nanostructure construction, interlayer regulation, and cation pre-insertion were employed in vanadium oxides to enhance charge transport and reversible optical modulation. Single-component Prussian white films were developed for VIS/NIR spectral control. Wadsley-Roth VNb₉O₂₅ was optimized by aliovalent doping to improve ion diffusion and electronic transport, while linkage and framework engineering of COFs enabled stable near-infrared electrochromism. NiCo layered double hydroxide films further integrated dual-band modulation with electrochemical energy storage. These results demonstrate structural engineering as an effective strategy for high-performance dual-band electrochromic materials.
