Our 16th International Meeting on Electrochromism (IME-16) is going to be held in Hangzhou from October 26 to 30, 2026. Hangzhou is one of the most naturally beautiful metropolis cities in the world, about 200 km westward from Shanghai, and really worthwhile to take a visit.
I cordially invite you to participate IME-16 and join our own electrochromism community. Our International Meeting on Electrochromism series has continuously lasted for more than 30 years. In recent decade, China has become one of the most active region where there are more and more fundamental theoretical researches on electrchromic materials, devices, and their practical industrial application promotions.
IME-16 continues the tradition of being the premier global forum for researchers, engineers, and industry leaders in the field of electrochromic materials and devices. Following the success of previous meetings, this conference will provide a unique platform to exchange cutting-edge knowledge, foster international collaborations, and explore the frontiers of electrochromism and related “X‑chromic” technologies. We strongly encourage young scientists and students to present and share your newest research results and achievement on this concentrated topic.

ABOUT CONFERENCE
Since its inception in 1994 in Venice, Italy, the International Meeting on Electrochromism (IME) has been successfully held 15 times in Italy, the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Turkey, South Korea, France, the Netherlands, Japan, Portugal, and Taiwan, China. It has become the oldest, largest, and most influential academic conference in the field of electrochromism worldwide.
The 16th International Meeting on Electrochromism (IME-16) will be held from October 26 to 30, 2026 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. The conference is organized by the Hangzhou International Innovation Institute (H3I) of Beihang University. It will bring together world-leading scholars, early‑career scientists, and industrial leaders to focus on cutting‑edge scientific issues, technological breakthroughs, and industrial applications of electrochromic materials and devices as well as related X‑chromic (thermochromic, photochromic, etc.) materials and devices. The conference aims to promote international exchange and collaboration. We warmly welcome experts and scholars from universities, research institutes, and enterprises worldwide to actively participate in the conference.
